Frequently Asked Questions

How do I calculate the average of a set of numbers?

Add all the numbers together and divide by the count. For example, the average of 10, 20, 30 = (10+20+30) ÷ 3 = 20. Our calculator does this automatically for any number of values.

What if there are two modes or no mode?

If two values appear the same number of times, both are modes (bimodal). If all values appear equally, there is no mode. Our calculator shows all modes when there are multiple.

How do I calculate the average of my exam marks?
