Split PDF
Free PDF Splitter — Extract Pages, Split by Range or Pick Pages
Split any PDF document into multiple files entirely in your browser using PDF-lib. Three flexible split modes: extract a page range, split into equal N-page chunks, or handpick specific pages. Each resulting file shows its page count and size. Download individually or trigger all downloads at once.
When to Split a PDF
Split PDFs when sharing only specific chapters with colleagues, extracting invoices from a monthly statement, separating a scanned multi-page document into individual pages, isolating a specific section of a report, or reducing a large PDF to a smaller shareable file by removing unnecessary pages.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are the 3 split modes?
Page Range extracts a specific range (e.g. pages 3-7) into one PDF. Every N Pages splits the PDF into equal parts (e.g. every 5 pages). Pick Pages lets you select individual pages to extract into one PDF.
Can I split a 100-page PDF into individual pages?
Yes. Use Every N Pages mode and set N to 1. This creates one PDF file per page. You can then download each page individually.
Will password-protected PDFs work?
No. Password-protected or encrypted PDFs cannot be split. Remove the password in your PDF reader first, then re-upload.
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. All splitting happens entirely in your browser using PDF-lib. Your files never leave your device — completely private and secure.
