Merge PDF
Free PDF Merger — Combine Multiple PDFs Into One File
Merge up to 20 PDF files into a single document entirely in your browser using PDF-lib. No files are uploaded to any server. PDFs merge in the exact order you add them — numbered clearly in the list. Password-protected PDFs are not supported.
When to Merge PDF Files
Merge PDFs when combining chapters of a report, consolidating multiple invoices into one file, joining scanned documents, assembling a portfolio from separate files, combining form pages, or sending multiple documents as a single email attachment. A merged PDF is easier to share, archive and print than multiple separate files.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many PDF files can I merge?
You can merge up to 20 PDF files at once with a combined size of up to 100MB. For larger batches, merge in groups and then merge the resulting files.
Does the order of files matter?
Yes. PDFs are merged in the order they appear in the list — numbered 1, 2, 3 etc. Remove and re-add files to change their order before merging.
Will password-protected PDFs work?
No. Password-protected or encrypted PDFs cannot be merged. Remove the password protection first using your PDF reader then re-upload.
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. All merging happens entirely in your browser using PDF-lib. Your files never leave your device — completely private and secure.
